A Norwegian Schengen visa is a Type C visa that is granted to aspirants who wish to visit Norway for a short stipulated period of time. Individuals who wish to explore the country with the purpose of tourism, business or family visits can do so through this visa. However, this visa is valid only up to a maximum of 90 days within a 180 days course. And the stay cannot be extended once the applicant has set foot in the Schengen region.
Individuals have to explicitly express that they intend to return to their own country at the end of their visit. In case the applicants desire to partake in any business dealings or official assignments, they have to approach other relevant visa categories that permit the same.
The applicants should note one major detail before applying, which is a submission of a medical & travel insurance policy that provides a “minimum” cover of €30,000 and ensures that the applicant is covered for any unforeseen emergencies or medical care during his stay.
All application forms and paperwork required for the visa is to be registered, paid for and submitted online. The fees, required documents, photo specifications, processing time etc are according to the immigration of the country you are travelling from.
